Clarity and The New America
It is clarity that provides the basis for better moral and logical choices. It also helps to identify institutions that are not working in our best interest and how we will respond.
What exactly has resulted from the last two-plus years of COVID-related lockdowns, restrictions, deaths, anxiety, mental illness, destruction of livelihoods, destruction of families, forcible medication, perversion of our children and the refusal of the enforcement of written law?
In a word: Clarity.
In 2015, most Americans could still believe they lived in a representative republic, in which rulers were smart enough to at least put on the impression that they were not working in direct opposition to the interests of their constituents. They did not overtly insult them, their country, or their race as a way to score political points. They were at least superficial in answering to the people they represented.
Today’s government is not accountable to its citizens. “Consent of the governed” as written in our country’s founding documents is nothing but a quaint memory. Today’s ruling classes don’t try to convince; they are not asking for your consent. They demand submission, and they will punish.
The multi-generational takeover of our institutions and subsequent weaponization of these institutions against its citizens has been growing through decades of incremental consolidation of government power and its collusion with corporate interests. The 2016 election was a referendum of whether its rise would accelerate and harden, or if a course correction could be implemented to slow the societal metamorphosis.
The immense seizing of power from 2016 to 2021 by an amalgam of government agencies and large corporations has left one to understand that the laws, customs, and traditions that defined the American republic since the 18th century are things of the past. Our movements, interactions and communications are under ever-increasing restrictions and limitations for which no one ever voted.
Winners, Losers and Collateral Damage
The COVID-19 pandemic was the catalyst for what became the largest worldwide movement of government coercion executed in collaboration with global corporate interests. The compulsory nature of this campaign foisted destruction on entire economies as continents were locked down and citizens lost their livelihoods due to vaccination mandates, closure of businesses and the inability to travel. Children lost their innocence as well as their education. And families suffered the loss of loved ones without having a proper farewell, breaking their hearts as well as their mental stature.
Bailouts of favored industries and business segments corresponded directly with their respective ties to government. The pharmaceutical, airline, military, technology, media and education sectors survived and flourished quite nicely through the lockdowns and restrictions. All workplace activity was divided into “essential” (permitted) and “non-essential” (to be restricted at will), providing favored mega-industries the ability to sustain activity while crushing their smaller competition. The governmental picking of winners and losers became so obvious that its bureaucrats eventually stopped pretending to be following “the science” and just ramped up the tyranny to further intimidate the population.
How did we get here? What explains this cozy relationship between government and corporations and how did this turn into a toxic mix that prioritizes its interests over that of the country? How did this public-private stew leverage a worldwide pandemic to create so much chaos, damage, human suffering and loss of freedom, all while getting fabulously wealthy and powerful?
The Great Depression (1929-1939) was the catalyst for FDR’s New Deal, which issued rules that began a coalescence of government and business, a classic example of oligarchy. Although unconstitutional as ruled by the Supreme Court, it grew anyway as the production and economic miracles generated by World War II and its aftermath seemed to validate the point that good government results from the judgment of the appointed experts and not from the voter’s choices.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, in his farewell address to the nation at the close of his second term, warned of the “military-industrial complex” and the collusion of public and private power to prioritize their collective interests over the country’s. Eisenhower cautioned that government experts will end up substituting their power for provable facts, as was the case in the government’s 2020-2021 handling of the COVID pandemic.
Every Crisis is an Opportunity for More Control
Since 9/11, the America we knew began rapidly changing. The expansion of government surveillance power under the Patriot Act was particularly egregious, handing unelected bureaucrats the ability to track the movement and communications of American citizens at will and without accountability. The advent of broadband internet and social media created the beast of government/tech industry collusion that sent a clear message: We know where you are and what you’re doing. Do as you’re told…or else.
The leveraging of a pandemic (or some other worldwide crisis, real or imagined) to create a control mechanism over entire populations was obviously planned in advance. The rapid response of government, medical and media sectors and coordinated application of emergency power grabs, lockdowns, vaccine and mask mandates, panicked reporting across the entire legacy media spectrum and censorship of personal communications suggests that the entire rationale for using the COVID pandemic was to re-tool society into a form that is easier to control. If one were to purposely use a health crisis to force such control measures with the goal of attaining utter totalitarian dominance over the population, what would have been done differently?
Our New Sense of Clarity
It is clear that we were lied to about the deadliness of COVID, of the efficacy of the COVID injection (called a “vaccine” when it does not even meet the definition), of the risk to children and that of healthy adults, of the need to restrict “non-essential” workplaces but keep “essential” workplaces running, and that we needed universal mail-in balloting to ensure a safe (and “most secure”) presidential election. We hate being lied to, but we now have sharp clarity of the core intentions of those who were in charge.
It is clear that a vast majority of COVID guidance was not based on “The Science” but rather to support the interests of government and corporations. In only two years, over $5 trillion has been spent on various bailout relief and “infrastructure” packages, grossly expanding government authority and pushing the national debt to over $30 trillion. As of 2021, 28 new billionaires have been created, largely in the pharmaceutical and tech industries, financed by taxpayers that had no say on the matter.
It is clear that the pumping of trillions of dollars into the economy without a corresponding increase in the production of goods has caused an inflationary impact. And it is clear that choking off energy availability with no decrease in demand has caused skyrocketing energy costs.
And now, those that were in charge of the pandemic response are telling us to “move on,” to leave all talk of COVID and the pandemic behind us. To act as if two years of governmental and media coercion and bullying didn’t happen. To just absorb the abuse, the ridicule, the loss of freedom and wealth. To ignore the facts that have emerged over the intentional damage inflicted on entire populations by the “experts” who are rushing to change the subject. They lied, we know they lied, and they know we know they lied. And now they’re attempting to rapidly control us as a reaction to their fear of us.
Clarity. It is this that helps to identify institutions, corporations and individuals that actively work against our interests. And it is clarity that provides the basis for better moral and logical choices that are to be made.
We did not create this reality. We are simply responding to it and making different choices that reflect the New America. The clarity that resulted from this disastrous journey might become its only virtue, however it is a powerful one.
When liars and manipulators force their will on the population, it is noticed. The underlying irreconcilable outcomes are seen and understood with extreme clarity. We know, now more than ever, the difference between truth, lies and agendas that work against our interests.
Going forward, we will act accordingly.
