Wind And Solar Are Failing to Transition Us Away from Fossil Fuels
We are not in the midst of an energy “transition,” nor will one ever happen. Here’s why.

While an enormous amount of money is being set on fire in favor of “renewable” energy sources, we are told by government and business leaders that we are in the midst of a “transition” away from carbon-based fuels to wind and solar.
There is no such transition happening. In fact, fossil fuel consumption is higher than ever and is forecasted to increase in coming years.
And no such transition will take place in America or anywhere else in the world. Why is that?
It’s because wind and solar are obsolete technologies that are intermittent and produce energy less than 50 percent of the time, a fact that will never change. No amount of wind turbine and solar panel installations will be capable of replacing the on-demand efficiency of carbon- or nuclear-based energy generation if we intend on running a modern economy. It is simply not possible.
If you ask a “Green” energy advocate on how to mitigate this fact, the answer will be “batteries.” Yes, those wind and solar farms deliver electricity only when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining, but that’s no problem because we can store that electricity in batteries for later use.
Of course, we utilize batteries every day to store energy, tiny amounts of which power our laptops, smart phones, and other devices. But our at-scale energy grid demands are massive, and all of the batteries in the world don’t even begin to meet those needs.
And batteries are very expensive, which is one of the reasons “Green” advocates rarely offer cost estimates for their “renewable” energy mandates. Energy transmission lines, turbine maintenance, and solar panel replacement costs are typically not part of initial cost estimates, making these programs subject to huge cost overruns for which these advocates rarely have answers.
After years of “Green” energy mandates and unrelenting propaganda, it has become obvious that all of the measures taken to produce, transmit, store and maintain wind and solar energy generation are horrifically expensive and completely unsustainable due to the realities of basic physics. So why are we still hearing about this mythical “transition” to an all-electric future powered by wind and solar?
The forces arrayed behind wind and solar as a viable replacement for dependable and plentiful carbon-based energy generation are making a fortune from swindling entire industries and governments into believing their fantasies. There is absolutely no way we can afford this “transition,” nor would the strategy ever work if we could.
Imagine having enough battery storage to keep the lights on around the world when relying on intermittent wind and solar energy generation that works less than 50 percent of the time. How would you keep all of those batteries charged? Simple math demonstrates that it is impossible to deliver enough energy to meet demand AND keep the batteries charged solely using wind and solar. Think that will deter the “Green” energy advocates?
Speaking of “Green” energy, it’s always worth exposing the lying hypocrisy that inspires the “Green” movement.
How many of those in the “Green” movement acknowledge the catastrophic damage to the Earth’s landscapes and ecosystems resulting from the mining and processing of lithium and cobalt, two requirements for the manufacturing of the batteries needed to store electricity from their precious solar panels and wind turbines? Who will admit that many rare earth elements needed for these batteries come from the Democratic Republic of Congo in which child labor is routinely used? Will anyone disclose the fact that in order for solar panels to be produced, you need carbon-based energy and petroleum-based synthetics? Has anyone noted that each wind turbine contains up to eighty gallons of oil to lubricate its moving parts?
I should point out that there is not a single demonstration project in the world showing the feasibility of operating a city, town or village solely on wind and solar energy. That is because the entire enterprise is not designed to deliver energy; it is designed to make it more scarce with the ultimate goal of energy rationing. This is playing out in Europe for everyone to see – the EU recently stopped its carbon- and nuclear-powered energy generation in favor of wind and solar. Energy costs today are nearly ten-times higher than only two years ago.
No population anywhere in the world will tolerate being starved to death as all of their accumulated wealth is devoted to the search for magical energy emanating from sunny skies and swooshing around in the air. This is where the wind and solar scam will ultimately be exposed as yet another taxpayer money-grab opportunity, enriching a select few while making millions of lives miserable.
